Media Production Services for Medical Training Films

Medical Aid Films (MAF) produces educational films and digital learning tools to improve health outcomes in low-resource settings.
Under the UFUQ Medical Education Initiative, MAF will produce a series of Arabic-language training films focused on Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia, and Obstetrics/Gynecology, tailored for healthcare workers in Syria and the wider MENA region.
MAF seeks to engage a local media production company (or consortium) with proven experience in health, medical, or educational content to manage the full production process in Damascus.
2. Scope of Work
The selected company will provide end-to-end production services in collaboration with MAF’s UK-based production and learning teams.
Key tasks include:
Develop detailed production plans and filming schedules in coordination with MAF.

Manage local production crew (camera, sound, lighting, logistics).

Film in healthcare or training settings, ensuring privacy, consent, and professionalism.

Coordinate with clinicians and subject experts to ensure accurate medical depictions.

Deliver raw and edited footage, incorporating feedback from MAF’s Senior Producer.

Ensure all content adheres to ethical, data protection, and safeguarding standards.
3. Deliverables
The production company will be expected to deliver:
A production plan and timeline (pre-production).

Raw, high-quality footage as per agreed shot lists.

Edited drafts (if editing is included in the bid).

Final approved videos (format and resolution as specified by MAF).

Supporting documentation (consent forms, scene logs, etc.).
4. Duration and Location
The work will be carried out over an estimated 4–6 months period.

Primary location: Damascus, Syria.

Some filming may take place in surrounding areas, subject to access and permissions.
5. Eligibility and Required Experience
Applicants must demonstrate:
At least 5 years of experience in professional film/media production.

Experience filming in hospitals, clinics, or other sensitive environments.

Fluency in Arabic and working proficiency in English.

Strong understanding of ethical filming, informed consent, and data protection.

(Preferred) Prior work with INGOs, humanitarian organizations, or health education projects.
6. Submission Requirements

B. Financial Proposal
Detailed cost breakdown (in USD or GBP) including:

Pre-production

Filming (daily rates, crew costs, equipment rental)

Editing / post-production (if applicable)

Travel, logistics, and any additional expenses.
C. References
At least two (2) professional references from recent clients.
