2D Compositing Supervisor
Location: Dublin, Ireland

Windmill Lane VFX is evolving and we’re looking for an experienced 2D Compositing Supervisor to join our new team. This is an opportunity for you to be involved in shaping the future of our VFX offering, working on a range of feature films and TV drama, in an environment where your voice will be heard.

You’ll be joining a busy and diverse crew of creative people at our location in the heart of Dublin, which also houses our renowned post-production and audio studios.

Job Description:
We are looking for a supervisor who can head up a team of compositors in order to seamlessly combine live action and computer generated elements into visual effects shots which will realise the vision and creative direction of the client and visual effects supervisor.

Responsibilities:
● Take direction from the VFX Supervisor to help realise the vision of the shots through the compositing team.
● Responsible for working with the VFX Supervisor to assess, assign and monitor compositing needs.
● Design and develop procedural and innovative tool sets, pipelines and techniques for the Compositors.
● Accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets on time and at a high level of quality.
● Offer guidance and mentoring for junior to mid level compositors.
● Clearly communicate progress and issues.

Requirements:
● Previous experience working within the VFX industry as a lead compositor.
● At least 6 years working knowledge of Nuke.
● A keen creative eye and an understanding of colour space principles.
● Effective organizational and time management skills.
● Proven ability to work closely in a small team with tight schedules.
● Knowledge of Shotgun a plus.
● Detail oriented, creative with clear communication skills .
● Excellent interpersonal skills.
● Programming and coding experience is considered a considerable asset
