Cisco Films is seeking an experienced and passionate Sr. Video Editor.

Candidates should be highly organized with substantial post-production experience across multiple platforms: including long-form, social, and broadcast; with the main focus on Cisco Films content for marketing, advertisement, and company-wide communications. We're looking for someone who has a strong background in video editing at an agency level and is able to work along the side of Creative Directors, Producers, and Clients while driving creative solutions, and pushing creative boundaries within a fast-paced environment.

Your passion for engaging viewers through visual storytelling coupled with a deep understanding of marketing content to viewers will make you a valuable member of this highly collaborative, cross-functional team. This is a hands-on role that requires a strategic thinker with advanced video editing skills who can jump in and make an immediate impact. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is detail-oriented and a power user of Adobe Creative Suite.

An online portfolio showing creative and engaging media is required.


Key Responsibilities

• Provides a deep understanding of the post-production process including: Adobe Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Compositing, Modern Media Asset Management Tools, and Associated Workflows.
• Manages RED Camera Codecs and file conversion.
• Develops visual styles that elevate the Cisco Brand and core messaging.
• Works with Producer to ensure that creative concepts can be executed within proposed timeframes.
• Able to pivot from project to project, within various stages of production.
• Helps maintain the digital database and ensures that all edited masters and raw footage are properly entered into the video library upon completion of the project.

Qualifications / Requirements

• 5+ years as a Video Editor using Adobe Creative Suite, creating agency-level content.
• Proven knowledge and understanding post-production process of corporate films.
• Understanding of the strategic use of video assets in content promotion for different audiences through high-quality video and motion graphics.
• Proven ability to translate brand guidelines and campaign templates to final product.
• Exemplary organizational skills with a disciplined approach to the post-production process.
• In-depth knowledge of codecs, bit rates, frame rates, transcoding, and asset management.
• Proficient at using all Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly learn and use other software programs.
• Delivers a high degree of customer service while working with Creative Directors and Producers.
• Keep up to date with new post technology and workflows.
• The ability to travel nationally and perhaps internationally.
• The ability to work flexible hours including night and weekends when needed.
• Maintains a positive and professional attitude at all times.
• Must be willing to work in San Jose, California.
