Job Description
An established reality television production company is looking for a self-starting, motivated IT Support Specialist to join their team. The company’s two office buildings, in Valley Village and Van Nuys, are primarily Apple macOS environments. The candidate will support both locations and support both our production and post production teams. The ideal candidate will provide excellent face-to-face technical support experiences and has outstanding communication skills.

This position’s primary focus will be providing first level support for all IT needs across the company. Candidates should be comfortable interacting with technical and creative users of all skill levels, and working with users to resolve issues. Duties of the position include but are not limited to; resolving typical office computer issues (printers, email, connectivity etc.), performing installations and updates of hardware and software, respond and resolve service desk tickets through ticketing portal, deploy and collect equipment from incoming & exiting employees, assist Tech Director with other technical duties as needed.

Position Responsibilities:

Provide in person and remote technical support to end users.
Provide local and remote troubleshooting, updates and installations.
Setup and configure desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals and other technical products as needed.
Respond to users and update records in the service desk ticket system.
Setup and create e-mail accounts for new users
Provision new equipment and maintain technical inventory.
Uphold privacy and security of company and its executives.
Organize and maintain IT tools and IT room.
Needs & Wants:

Excellent customer service skills.
Basic computer troubleshooting and support skills.
Experience supporting Apple hardware and software.
Experience administering G Suite or Google Apps for Business.
Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
Ability to work in a team and independently.
Basic understanding of networks, routers, switches and access points.
Familiarity with Avid, network storage, media asset managers a plus.
Motivated and willing to learn and grow with the company.
Reliable vehicle and clean driving record for commute between two office locations.
6+ months of previous IT support experience preferred.
In addition to having experience and qualifications, we are looking for someone that’s a people-person and enjoys a team environment.

$20/hr (40 hrs/week), M-F (9a-6p).
