Job Description
Seeking to build a successful team of experienced transcribers who possess strong attention to detail. You must have the ability to transcribe verbatim busy video/audio footage.

Experience transcribing unscripted film/shows is a plus.

This is a remote position. Must reside in the US.

Hours are flexible – we ask that you have the ability for a minimum of 2.5 hours of video/audio per week.

You should be knowledgeable in plugging in the start timecode into your transcription software. We do have a training video available for this step.

Weekenders are needed.

Rates will vary based on assignment type and the transcriber’s ability to accurately complete difficult video/audio.

Requirements: Must be a resident of the US, Team Player, Microsoft Word, 50 wpm, High-Speed Internet, 98% accuracy, Ability to distinguish between different speakers, Ability to transcribe with background noises and interruptions.

DT prefers to hire from within. For qualified, successful transcribers there is room for advancement in CCSL transcription as well as As-Broadcast files and/or Quality Control.

**A word of note:

As an IC (independent contractor) you are hired on a project to project basis. We cannot guarantee a minimum of work.

Rate of pay is equivalent to $15.00 - $33.00 per hour depending on your Transcription Turnaround Time (TAT)

We welcome beginner transcribers to apply, however, the work may be a difficult task to undertake. This is challenging work.
