DHX Media – Vancouver is looking for an experienced Production Coordinator to join our 3D team!

As a Production Coordinator, you will assist the Design and Modeling departments on one of our awesome 3D Productions! We are looking for someone who is incredibly organized and calm under pressure, passionate about the details, highly communicative and excited about joining a talented team of industry professionals working to create some of the best quality kids’ content in the business!


  • Break down script and create design and modelling asset list
  • Coordinate asset review meetings, taking notes and updating asset statuses
  • Be the point of contact and tracker for asset notes on design and modelling assets
  • Work with art director and modelling supervisor to determine how tasks should be distributed to the team
  • Work with production manager to schedule the departments in order to meet deadlines
  • Follow the progress of design, modelling and rigging asset to ensure assets are completed on time
  • Readily modify, respond to and integrate changes as requested by the producer and production manager
  • Facilitate an atmosphere in which high quality information flows smoothly between departments in a timely manner
  • Organize and motivate team to accomplish tasks according to the defined timeline
  • Be aware of what is happening on the production floor at all times and identify obstacles to the production manager
  • Participate in production meetings and adjust/refine tasks as indicated by the producer and production manager
  • Anticipate, communicate, and troubleshoot any issues with assistance from key stakeholders
  • Assist and complete production-related assignments
  • Ensure that instructions from the producer, production manager and series director are carried out efficiently
  • Recommend any team training needs to production manager and department heads
  • Prioritize and plan own work effectively to meet objectives
  • Effectively listen to, understand, and follow directions
  • Carry out duties in a professional and positive manner
  • Be a positive and creative force on the team


  • Minimum 2 years of coordination experience or equivalent (animation experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to proactively anticipate the needs of production
  • Great team player
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Able to work alone and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks and deadline pressures
  • Must be open to direction and able to embrace change
