We currently have a full time opening for a Content Specialist in our Vista, California headquarters.

Zodiac Pool Systems is looking for a talented and versatile Content Specialist to join our marketing team. The Content Specialist will be a jack of all trades with strong copywriting chops and the ability to develop varied, engaging and effective content for print, web and video projects for B2B and B2C audiences. The Content Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining the company’s blog and managing our social media channels, ensuring consistency and alignment with strategic plans.

• Write and develop content for a variety of projects ranging from campaign-level executions to websites to brochures and video scripts.
• Act as agency interface for social channels and contribute to the strategy and execution of content plans.
• Manage an overall content calendar and regularly review content executions to ensure strategic alignment.
• Use creative, clear and concise language to engage target audiences on varied topics, from instructional “how-to’s” to feature/benefit pieces to more creative projects.
• Be comfortable interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders to gather content ideas/topics for projects (not to mention be comfortable on camera!).
• Find ways to measure effectiveness of content projects.
• Proofread and copyedit.

• B.S./B.A. in journalism, English, marketing, communications or related field from a four-year university, plus 3-5 years of professional writing experience; or an equivalent.
• The ability to translate business goals into on-message fun, creative projects.
• Must have excellent written communication skills with superb punctuation, grammar, and vocabulary (if you’ve already found punctuation errors and inconsistencies in this job description, consider applying!).
• Excellent collaboration skills to successfully work cross functionally with internal stakeholders, customers, vendors and agencies.
• Professional social media experience required.
• Must have strong knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram) with experience developing content for such platforms.
• Must be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced environment with a drive for continuous improvement.
• Experience writing across platforms (you’ll be writing good old-fashioned product brochures to tips/tricks videos for YouTube to web copy for large B2C/B2B websites).
• Ability to independently manage projects with a proven track record of managing multiple deliverables produced by large, diverse teams, under tight deadlines.
