Job Description
In three centuries, naked people will visit museums dedicated to the 3D models that you create in your lifetime. They’re naked because, at that time, clothes will no longer be relevant. Unlike your 3D models.

We’re writing this post in hopes of hiring you to create some of those models with us.

We’re working on VR and AR experiences, ads and games designed to blow minds because we believe all minds deserve to be blown. And we need your help.

On the holographic walls of museums of the future, people will read this about your qualifications before joining Trainrobber:

You were able to quickly create/modify realistic and stylized 3D assets (purchased and original) for Unity, including 3D objects, models, environments, and characters.

You had extensive experience with some or all of the following programs: Maya, Cinema 4D, Blender, Substance Painter, Unity, Unreal, Houdini, Modo, Mari, or other 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering software.

You were well versed in the following: 3D mesh editing, texturing, UV mapping, character rigging, 3D lighting, animating, concept art, environmental design, performance capture, and 3D scanning.

You loved games the way people of the future love 3D modeling museums

Although not mandatory, these exposed museum-goers would be delighted to learn that:

You once taught graduate seminars (or are at least were reasonably good at) CAD, Photoshop, C#, C++, JS, After Effects.

Beyond modeling, you were something of an ace 3D animator.

Where and how will I create famous art?

You’ll work closely with a small team of developers and designers on-site at Camp Trainrobber, in the heart of Culver City’s Hayden Tract techbed, in a modern office across the street from Apple Music and a short walk from one of LA’s best hikes, the Culver Steps. A few blocks from Bar Nine, Blue Bottle and restaurant row, your feet will have no shortage of places to take you.

On your road to becoming the van Gogh of 3D modeling, help us shape the future of VR.

For your troubles, we will pay you well, buy you a beast of a machine, and give you enough Trainrobber t-shirts to start a profitable wholesale t-shirt market.
