Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for oversite and content organization of Digital Media including On Demand and Online, producing compelling long-form and short-form content for local television production or internal communications which may include news, sports, public affairs, community, client-based, and entertainment programming. Responsible for direct Project Management of multi platform client projects that may include Traditional spots, Web ads, Landing pages, short and long form videos and ongoing campaigns with detailed production fulfillment components.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
-Develops, pitches, coordinates, writes and creates original productions that meet the needs of internal and external clients including but not limited to Cox Media, Cox Business, Marketing, Community Relations and Media Relations teams.
-Determines program content, with direction, assigns work to Videographers, Editors, and other contract production crew and reviews work quality to produce full-length feature programs, short form video projects, PSAs and commercial spots.
-Creates and produces high quality programs and productions independently and creatively by conceiving, researching, scripting, and coordinating projects for internal and external clients.
-Identifies potential on-camera and voiceover talent and negotiates rates with talent agencies.
-Prepares program budget and reviews with manager, approves invoices submitted for contract labor and/or expenses to ensure budgetary guidelines are met.
-Edits packages and program segments as needed.
-Coordinates talent, props, crew, equipment rentals and shoot locations.
-Learns, adopts and masters new technologies and new techniques to improve production quality and efficiency of projects for Cox Creative Studios
-Ensures safety procedures are followed and supervises set to adhere to workplace safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma, GED or related work experience. BS/BA in related discipline preferred.
Experience: Generally 5-8 years experience in related field with specific experience in editing, utilizing graphics and writing programming content. Time may be credited for college coursework in applying experience requirements. Certification may be required in some areas.
Other: Strong PC skills to include MS Office applications. Valid AZ Drivers License with driving record that meets Cox standards. Strong Creative writing skills.
