Position:Video Test Engineer

Description
Full-time Test Consultant
• Sets up, manages, and reports on all testing activities, including the overall development and definition of the testing strategy, test plans, test cases, testing resources, and testing environments, as well as test execution.
Digital Video (mandatory)
• Video Post Production with a Major Studio or Broadcaster
• Expert with Final Cut Pro Studio
• Video experience (Digital Video Systems, Video Compression Technology, MPEG, AVC/H.264,)
• Experience with IP protocols, streaming media formats (Smooth Streaming, HLS, HTTP Dynamic Streaming, HTML 5), and Digital Rights Management
• Hands on experience with transcoding applications such as Agility, Flip Factory, Rhozet, etc.
• Hands on experience with MPEG analysis using applications such as Cerify, Manzanita, etc.

Key Requirements / Job Skills (mandatory)
• Strong verbal and written communications skills – Must be able to understand instructions and to communicate issues to their test leads.
• Experience with complex process flow and business rules
• Organized with a strong attention to detail
• Some experience with Testing or Q/A
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel

Systems / Servers (desired)
• Unix and Windows System Administration (log files, system utilization)
• Configuration and testing for Windows and Unix/Linux servers
• Network Attached Storage (NetApp, Isilon) analysis and testing
• High Availability analysis and testing
• Performance / Scalability analysis (load / stress testing)

Networking (desired)
• Networking experience (TCP/IP, Fiber-optics, Routers, Switches, etc.)
• Network+ certification preferred

Experience / Education (desired)
• Experience with performance /stress testing (preferred)
• MS degree in a technical field (MS-EE or BS-CS preferred)
• BS degree in a technical field (BS-EE or BS-CS preferred)
• 5+ years of related job experience
