Creative Director (Full Time - SF Bay Area)

Picturelab is seeking a Creative Director. This is a full-time position located in Mountain View, CA.

Position Description:

At Picturelab, a Creative Director is a team leader who is passionate about great design, animation, and the tech sector. He or she is responsible for developing a creative approach to animation and visual effects projects and leading a team in the execution of those projects. He or she displays strong artistic aptitude with an exceptional sense of design and a clear interest in motion graphics and related technology. He or she delivers quality results under high pressure deadlines, and attention to detail combined with a strong working knowledge of design-related applications is essential.


Responsibilities:

Writing and designing scripts and concepts that align with and enhance a client's stated objectives
Translating clients' needs into designs that are visually appealing and meets their goals and requirements.
Designing mood boards, storyboards, and animation concepts
Designing and producing art and animation that meets or exceeds objectives
Providing quality assurance on creative deliverables
Building and maintaining rapport with team personnel and project managers
Engaging in ongoing technical teaching and learning with our creative team


Requirements:

A minimum of 4 years education or 5 years motion design or creative direction work experience
Ability to articulate creative ideas
Great communicator and writer

Aptitude for quick creative thinking and attention to detail

Passion for design and eagerness to collaborate
Advance knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Cinema 4D
Moderate knowledge of FCP and Mac OS
Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task and work well with others and as the leader of a team
Passion for new technologies in the web/tech sector
